Shipping in the afternoon and meet the staff of the expedition and lecture. After you have settled into your cabins we sail along the famous Beagle Channel, which has a lovely bay, and a rich fauna and flora.
While browsing the Drake Passage we have the opportunity to observe the wandering albatross, petrels and other seabirds out to join us during our trip.
This morning we head to the entrance door to the White Continent, King George Island. The island is the largest of the South Shetland Islands. Will disembark in Potter Bay and afternoon Aitcho Island, located between Greenwich and Robert Islands, where you can see some marine mammals. Continue across the Bransfield Strait and Gerlache Straits to enter and where to Bahia Andvord find Neko Bay.
After breakfast, disembark in Port Lockroy, had its historical importance as Operation Tabarin base. Here we enjoy a magnificent setting of mountains, snow and ice on the Antarctic Peninsula, having a wide variety of wildlife.
We sail south through one of the most beautiful places in the world, Lemaire Channel. If the ice and weather permitting, we will have the opportunity to visit Petermann Island, the most southern of our expedition. Where we will make a landing, to observe a colony of penguins southern Papua (Gentoo) with nesting birds.
In the morning we disembark or use our zodiacs in Paradise Bay. Then visit the Brown Bluff, located in the north of the Errera Channel, offering incredible scenery and the chance to observe one of the largest colony of Gentoo penguins and skuas.
We will continue our sailing to Deception Island, located northwest of the Antarctic Peninsula. Will disembark in Whaler's Bay and Pendulum Cove where you can live the unique experience of swimming. In the afternoon we will disembark in one of the places with the greatest diversity of Antarctic fauna, Hannah Point.
The morning of the ninth day of navigation Leaving the Antarctic Peninsula, heading back across the Antarctic Convergence and the Drake Passage. During our trip back to Ushuaia make a short speech recalling the adventures of the week and enjoy our delicious dinner.
After breakfast, disembark at Ushuaia harbor, where it will terminate this exciting journey. Transfer to hotel or airport.
