ITINERARY

Day 1

Quito - Ecuador

Arrival in Quito at a luxury hotel. Day of rest. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2

Flight to Galapagos / Baltra Island / Bachas Beaches

Early in the morning will have a transfer from your hotel to the airport for your flight to Baltra Island, where we begin our cruise aboard the Guantanamera yacht after a short trip to the port. Where the desert, picturesque beach Las Bachas, located north of Santa Cruz, invites us to swim in crystal waters or relax in the sun. Then visit the bay Caleta Tortuga Negra, here we will have a panga ride to see their mangrove where you can observe marine turtles nesting at certain times of year, sharks and rays.

Day 3

South Plaza / Santa Fe

Land on the South Plaza Island for a walk which leads to a forest of Opuntia cactus family inhabited by a large community of land iguanas. We can also admire and colonies of sea lions along a path that runs along the cliff we will see nesting gulls and other bird species. In addition we will have the opportunity to snorkel with sea lions and if we are lucky we will see a manta ray. In the afternoon we go to Santa Fe Island has one of the most beautiful capes of the archipelago. Take a short walk on the beach next to a colony of sea lions, which takes us to one of the highest forests of Opuntia cacti in the islands. Here you can find cactus over 10 feet high. After the walk we can make snorkeling and sea lions swim together.

Day 4

Punta Suarez / Gardner Bay

After breakfast disembark at Punta Suarez on the Spanish island really an area full of wildlife. As soon as we put foot on shore will be greeted by a noisy colony of sea lions and curious Sison. Also observe the famous season albatross perform their peculiar mating ritual and various types of reptiles, including the colorful marine iguanas and large lava lizards are unique to this island. In the afternoon we visit Gardner Bay which is located northeast of the Spanish island, just the part that gives the island Gardner. Walk along a sandy beach and have a chance to see many sea lion colonies, Darwin finches, Galapagos doves and red-billed rabijuncos found shelter under the cliffs. This beach is considered the largest nesting site for marine turtles. We can also swim and snorkel to dive even more in the wildlife of the Galapagos.

Day 5

Puerto Cormorant / Devil's crown / Post Office Bay

Desembarco en mojado en la Isla Floreana considerada como una de las islas más exóticas de todo el archipiélago. En Punta Cormorán arribaremos a una playa de arena verde oliva. Siguiendo un camino de cerca de 100 metros, conoceremos una laguna en la cual encontraremos: flamingos, patos cuellilargos, y otros pájaros. Además hay una zona estupenda para practicar buceo desde la playa hacia el Islote de la Corona del Diablo. Después visitaremos la Bahía del Correo que posee el legendario barril que los marinos usaban para enviar sus cartas en el siglo XVIII. Aquí también observaremos leones marinos, rayas, tortugas marinas y posiblemente el pingüino de Galápagos.

Day 6

Santa Cruz / Estación Charles Darwin

It is the most populated island of the archipelago. Visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, a visit to this site is an excellent introduction to the knowledge of the islands, their origin and formation. The station is also a tortoise breeding center, where different subspecies are prepared for reintroduction to their natural habitats. The most popular inhabitant of this island will probably be Lonesome George, as it is the only survivor of his species. The lush vegetation of Santa Cruz is a welcome contrast with the arid scenery of the smaller, lower islands. We will continue our journey towards one of the most beautiful beaches of Galapagos is Turtle Bay, its beach has fine white sand, here we can swim and snorkel. In the upper part of the island, visit the tunnels of lava and the Twins. The vegetation around these is very special and is renowned for its 300 species of ferns and some sunflowers.

Day 7

James Bay / Rabida Island

Visit the James Bay to observe the fantastic lava formations and two species of sea lions. A small path leads to a southerly direction along the coast, past the ruins of the first salt mine, watching sea lions, lizards, herons and crabs, up to the famous grotto of the seals, the best place the Galapagos to observe these elegant animals. In the afternoon, travel to the beach of the small volcanic island Rabida, visit a small lake, it is popular for its flamingos, until it will pass by several nests of pelicans. The beach is also considered one of the most beautiful places for snorkeling, this is used by many sea lions due to its wealth of fish.

Day 8

Bartolome / Genovesa Island

We leave early after breakfast, headed for Bartolome Island, climb a wooden staircase to the top where there is a spectacular view of the two bays. There are interesting formations of lava and cinder cones. Pinnacle Rock Around seen sea lions and penguins. From the beach you can swim or scuba diving area, accompanied by penguins and turtles fantastic. Then anchor in Genovesa Island is the only island in the north of the archipelago, where red-footed boobies nest. Also find frigate birds, gulls, petrels, ducks, Galapagos doves and white are just some of the many species that breed by the thousands in Genovesa. These areas are also visited by four species of finches famous: the large ground finch, small ground finch, large cactus finch and warbler finch.

Day 9

North Seymour / Baltra / Return flights to Quito

Visit the Island Seymour North, which is known for its frigates and their intensive courting rituals. The island is also inhabited by other classes of frigates and blue-footed boobies, as well as for its endemic black lizards and sea lions that inhabit the shores. Then we head to Baltra Island to catch the flight back to Quito.

Day 10

Quito / Home

In the morning transfer to airport for flight back home.
