ITINERARY

Day 1

Quito - Ecuador

Arrival in Quito at a luxury hotel. Day of rest. Overnight at the Hotel.

Día 2

Enjoy a day of leisure. A variety of tours are available on that day. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 3

Quito / Baltra Island / Santa Cruz Island

Early morning after breakfast we head to the airport for a flight to Baltra Island, where he will begin his yacht cruise aboard the Coral I or II. Our first stop is Santa Cruz Island, landing in the Cerro Dragon, where the trail leads to a brackish lagoon frequented by flamingos, lapwings real patillos and various birds lagoon. Lugo a dinghy ride among mangrove islands and we can observe the coastal landscape, an area of major volcanic activity in the past. Often, the black lava reveals the presence of marine iguanas. In this nest site a lot of land iguanas, reintroduced by the Charles Darwin Station.

Day 4

Española / Gardner Bay / Punta Suarez

Wet landing at Gardner Bay on a white coral beach hike enjoy watching sea lions, mockingbirds and finches. Then visit The Galapaguera San Cristobal Island, a very unique as home to giant tortoises walking freely through the sand. After lunch dry landing at Punta Suarez for an exciting walk on lava rocks to visit their colonies of seabirds including (between May and December), the waved albatross and blower. Those who do not wish to walk may take a panga ride along the coast of Punta Suárez.

Day 5

Floreana Island

Wet landing at Punta Cormorant for an easy walk to watch flamingos and other birds that live in brackish water lagoon hidden. Excellent opportunities for snorkeling from the beach or in nearby Corona del Diablo. In the afternoon, wet landing at the site of the historic barrel that served as post office, to learn about the human side of the islands, its early inhabitants and the adventures of pirates and whalers. Then there will be a panga ride to nearby islets to observe sea lions, rays and sea turtles, boobies and possibly the Galapagos penguin.

Day 6

North Seymour / Plaza Island

North Seymour is an island of volcanic mostly flat, with some rocks that serve as nesting sites for the large population of frigate birds. The blue-footed boobies perform their courtship ritual in the open areas and frac gulls perch on the edge of the cliffs. Then we will go the Plaza Islands, located east of Santa Cruz. The main features of these small islands are the Opuntia cacti and sesuvium red carpet, exquisite plant that turns green in the rainy season. The islands have one of the largest colonies of sea lions in Galapagos frac gulls and boobies on the bluff south of the island.

Day 7

Santiago / Puerto Egas / Rabida

La Isla Santiago nos llevará hacia el sur a lo largo de la costa hasta a Puerto Egas. El paisaje es principalmente de capas de ceniza sólida y flujos de lava. En marea baja, las iguanas marinas se alimentan de algas y existe también una colonia de leones marinos de doble pelo. Oportunidad para buceo de superficie o natación desde la playa luego de la caminata. Por la tarde, viajaremos hacia la playa de la pequeña isla volcánica de Rábida. Un pequeño sendero nos llevará hacia una pequeña laguna, la misma que es popular por sus flamingos, hasta llegar a ella pasaremos por varios nidos de pelícanos. La playa también es considerada como uno de los lugares más hermosos para realizar buceo de superficie en Galápagos, esta es frecuentada por muchos leones marinos debido a su riqueza de peces.

Day 8

Fernandina Island / Isabela Island

Disembark at Punta Espinoza, Fernandina Island that has the most active volcano of the archipelago, the same as a few years ago a rash. The plain formed by lava in Punta Espinosa offers a wonderful combination of new lava and lots of wildlife. As in Fernandina no introduced mammals in this island is the highest density of marine iguanas, sharing space with sea lions, crabs SAYAP, penguins and the flightless cormorant. In the afternoon we will go to Caleta Tagus, known for being the point of attachment of the legendary pirates and whalers. Here you can see the graffiti of a ship of the nineteenth or twentieth centuries. Then a panga trip along the cliffs we can observe penguins, flightless cormorants, blue footed boobies, pelicans and crabs zayapas.

Day 9

Bartolome Island

Bartolome Island and visit the climb to the summit of the island, from where we admire the spectacular landscape of Sullivan Bay and the famous needle shaped rock called Pinnacle Rock. Then, a panga ride around Pinnacle Rock to observe penguins and time on the beach (wet landing) and snorkeling. You can also conduct a tour of the glass bottom boat.

Day 10

Santa Cruz / Baltra / Quito

Dry Landing to visit the Charles Darwin Research Station and the giant tortoises, an impressive cactus forest and many land birds. Charles Darwin Station in scientific work, park guards and monitors, who make great efforts to preserve this world heritage. The station is also a tortoise breeding center, where different subspecies are prepared for reintroduction to their natural habitats. Then we head to Baltra Island for our return to Quito.

Day 11

Quito / Home

In the morning we will be transferred to the airport for flight back home.
