Guayabillas Hill is a forest guard, 54 1 acres, part of the natural and cultural identity of the city of Ibarra. It is considered one of the largest parks in Ecuador. Information of Guayabillas Hill

Guayabillas Hill became a national park in order to benefit and meet the needs of recreation and leisure use of its inhabitants, becoming also a major tourist attraction of local and international.

In the park you can hike, bike rides, camping and enjoy a panoramic view of the city of Ibarra. This will allow visitors to share a clean, full of peace and tranquility.

In the vicinity of the Loma de Guayabillas you can find a planted area of eucalyptus forest, nurseries, zoos or rescue center, multipurpose room the same as that used to give talks and a picnic area.

At the zoo you can see 28 different species of animals like cat, clown monkey, parrots, parakeets, squirrels, turtles, boas, parrots greens, blue-headed parrot, parrots frentirrojas, barbamarilla parrots, macaws, guayamayo dwarf, parrots, hawks and the African lion.

It also has a great variety of plants such as cat's claw, Lantana rugulosa, blackberry, hawthorn goat matico, ragwort, guayabilla, Chol, cedrillo, cedar Andean molle, carob, guarango, guava knife guarango among others. There are also areas dominated by grasses especially Kikuyu.

The Hill of Guayabillas is characterized by great diversity of plant species. In addition, many of these species can be considered native region.
