Puna Island is a picturesque place inhabited by fishermen and shell collectors, located in the province of Guayas, up one and a half of Guayaquil. Puna Island, was declared a protected area in 2009, and mangroves which has 5, is an area rich in biodiversity.
ITINERARY
Departure of the city of Guayaquil early in the morning for the town Posorja, where we board our boat to take us to the island of Puna. Located in the Gulf of Guayaquil, off the delta of the Estero Salado formation and the River Guayas.
During the tour, we will stop to watch the dolphins, showing the beauty of water ballet. Visit the Bird Island, located in the main branch of the Guayas River, which invites us to a near stop to appreciate the beauty and color of the colonies of frigates. It is considered as an ecological reserve for a large variety of birds such as gulls, herons pink, white egrets, pelicans, albatrosses, mockingbirds, blue-footed boobies, cormorants, terns, zarapatos, albatrosses and other migratory birds.
