Día 1
Arrival in Cuenca, transfer to hotel of your choice.
Afternoon visit the beautiful city of Cuenca, it still retains its colonial character with its narrow streets and Churches everywhere. It was founded in 1557 and was built on the ruins of pre-Inca culture of Canaris. Proncipales will visit the places, Calderon park and the Cathedral, the Monastery, Flower Market, the Museum of Modern Art and the gorge.
Your lunch will be in one of the most prestigious restaurants in the city and then you can visit the ethnographic museum of the central bank, then we will go to the manufactures of straw hats, the shop handmade silver and Turi market, where you can a marvelous view of the city.
Return to the hotel.
Día 2
This day is dedicated to travel and Chordeleg Gualaceo, craft villages famous for his work in silver. The route starts along the Santa Ana valley and then goes into the mountains, passing through stunning landscapes that change with every curve, and finally to Chordeleg, through orchards and sugar cane plantations. It is a town where you can find several jewelry stores gold and silver.
After enjoying a delicious lunch, visit the banks of the river is bordered by weeping willows, to the village of Gualaceo - famous for its Sunday market which sells mostly fresh produce, animals and household goods and leather shoes . Also visit the town of Bulcay, where the weavers produce the finest shawls and scarves using shuttle looms and ikat technique in which the threads are dyed while they are tied to form specific designs before being woven.
Return to Cuenca in the afternoon.
