Guayaquil is a modern cosmopolitan city, situated on the banks of the Guayas River. Surrounded by stretches of sea and hills, natural beauty and tropical dry forest make it one of the world's best destinations for ecotourism. Guayaquil, privileged to be at sea level, has a nice tropical-like climate all year round.
ITINERARY
The tour begins when our tour guide pick you up at your hotel and take you to the first stop, the Plaza of the Administration, where you'll find the center of city government, the municipality and the monument to Sucre and Seminary Park, also known as the Parque de la Iguana.
Then visit the Malecon 2000 and its main attractions such as the Integration Plaza with its famous Southern Marketplace or Cristal Palace and the Plaza Olmedo, home of the famous monument to Jose Joaquin Olmedo, a poet and former president of Ecuador.
Our third stop we will visit the Moorish Tower, observing the main historical monuments of Guayaquil as the Monument to the Rotunda and the statues of Simon Bolivar and San Martin. Then we will go to the garden area of the Malecon, home to a wide variety of flora and vegetation.
We will continue our journey and head through the beautiful neighborhood of Las Peñas with old houses. Visit the steps of Cerro Santa Ana, from their viewpoint can be seen throughout the city with a magnificent view of the confluence of the rivers and Babahoyo Daule that form the great river Guayas.
Then take a boat to visit the famous Historical Park, a theme attraction that recreates and revives the old Guayaquil, with its characters, traditions and architecture.
