The Cerro Blanco Protected Forest is one of the largest and best preserved tropical dry forest fragments of Ecuador, located 15 minutes west of Guayaquil, near the last area southeast of the Cordillera Chongón-Colonche and shelter for many animals.
ITINERARY
We left at 9:30 am, when an expert guide to pick you up at your hotel with the direction of the Bosque Protector Cerro Blanco, which has a system of nature trails and a visitors center.
We start our journey by visiting the Self-Guided Trail, here observe the flora and fauna and wildlife photography as we cuchuches, anteaters and birds such as parrots and cachetigris colebas. As we walk the path of vegetation and landscape changes, we will contemplate a beautiful ecosystem.
The tour includes a walk of 1 ½ Canoe Trail, where we find abundant vegetation, cobwebs every meter, woodpeckers, morpho butterflies and lizards. We can also observe 54 species of mammals including the jaguar, howler monkey, red squirrel, Cusumbo, agouti and peccary. Along the way we will stop a moment to appreciate a pond where the animals descend from the forest to drink water. The pond is the only source of water for wildlife in the forest.
hen visit the Aviary, where you will appreciate the integrated crop management of short-cycle plants organically produced as peppers, onions, cabbage, tomato, among others, and livestock management of African sheep, chickens, guinea pigs, and also know the management technique lobricultura and the development of organic fertilizers such as Biola and lombrihumus.
Return to the hotel.
