Beluga is spacious and comfortable yacht with eight double cabins that allow it to accommodate 16 passengers. Its spacious interior has an attractive modern design and air-conditioning in every room has a comfortable lounge and two separate dining areas that accommodate eight guests each. The crew consists of seven well-trained and experienced, as well as a naturalist guide.
ITINERARY
Day 1
Quito - Ecuador
Arrival in Quito at a luxury hotel. Day of rest. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 2
This is a day of leisure. A variety of tours are available on that day. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 3
Baltra Island / Embark / North Seymour Island
The United States Army occupied the island of Baltra, during the Second World War and built the first landing strip for aircraft, currently used for daily flights to and from the islands. The main plants in this arid island are cacti, Palo Santo trees, and herbs. South Plaza was formed by lava hills and is covered by Opuntia cactus, which grows Sesusvium patches. Here, land iguanas, sea lions, gulls, red-billed rabijuncos, Audubon and more visible.
.Day 4
EspaƱola Island
Gardner Bay is a spectacular beach where you can swim with sea lions and is a great opportunity for snorkeling in the islands off the bay. Punta Suarez offers a display of wildlife: marine iguanas, sea gulls, the endemic mockingbirds, finches, masked boobies and blue legs, oyster, sea lions, lava lizards. This is the only island where the albatross can be seen during the breeding season from April to December.
.Day 5
Floreana Island
In Punta Cormoran, visit a lagoon where flamingos live with other species of land birds. We will snorkel in the Devil's Crown, a submerged volcanic cone, and in Post Office Bay, one may leave letters like whalers did in the eighteenth century, in a wooden barrel.
.Day 6
Santa Cruz Island
The headquarters of the Charles Darwin Research Station and the Galapagos National Park can be visited at Puerto Ayora, the most populous areas of human settlements. The highlands offer the lush humid zone with its vegetation of Miconia bushes, Scalesia and inactive volcanic cones. Santa Cruz has more endemic plants than any other in the Galapagos Islands. Here we have a chance to see Galapagos tortoises in their natural habitat.
.Day 7
Isabela Island
Visit Punta Moreno, will walk through fields of lava. Here we can see cormorants and penguins on the road. In the afternoon, we will explore in Elizabeth Bay panga.
Day 8
Fernandina Island
At Punta Espinosa, flightless cormorants, pelicans, sea lions, red crabs and abundant marine iguanas can be seen along the shores of one of the most active volcanoes in the world. This afternoon, enjoy some time whale watching near Fernandina.
Day 9
Santiago Island / Bartolome Island
Northwest of the island of Santiago is Puerto Egas. The trail crosses the dry interior, where the remains of a company that mined salt can still be seen. A walk along the rugged shoreline, especially when the tide is low, you can make them appear several marine species as iguanas that are resting on the rocks, or lazy sea lions in small pools of sea water.
Nowhere else is the geological history of the archipelago portrayed better than here. The most impressive volcanic scenery can be seen from the top of Bartholomew varied lava formations, volcanic peaks and moon-like landscape. The Galapagos penguin can be seen here.
Day 10
Baltra Island / Disembark - End of cruise
Disembark on the island of Baltra and transferred by bus to the airport for the flight back to the mainland. Rest in the afternoon. Overnight at a hotel in Quito.
Day 11
Quito / Home
In the morning we will be transferred to the airport for flight back home.
